Description

Little Village Farmhouse is likely late 17th or early 18th century, with later alterations. It is a timber-frame building with brick infill. The roof is covered in Welsh slate, and there’s a sandstone rubble end stack with a brick shaft. The building has a rectangular plan, aligned north-north-west/south-south-east, with two to three structural bays. It is two storeys high. The east elevation features one early 19th-century casement window of two lights to the first floor and three to the ground floor. A ledged mid-19th-century door is situated under a gabled early 20th-century porch in the centre. A small mid-19th-century lean-to extension is attached to the right-hand side. The timber frame is constructed with three square panels from the cill to the wall-plate. Inside, the building has heavy ceiling beams.
