Description

This milestone, located at National Grid Reference SO 463362, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of painted sandstone and cast iron, featuring a segmental head and standing approximately 2 feet 6 inches tall. The milestone has a rectangular cast iron plaque with raised lettering that reads: "TO HEREFORD 4 ABERGAVENNY 20." Above the plaque, there is a bench-mark.
