Description

The service wing, bakehouse, cartshed, and stable with an adjoining water pump at Flintham Hall date from the mid to late 19th century. Constructed from brick and timber, the buildings feature hipped and gabled slate roofs, an ashlar plinth, and dressings, along with a parapet and a single large side wall stack. The structure is single storey, measuring 18 bays wide by 10 bays deep, and is arranged in an L-plan. Most openings have segmental heads.

The service wing includes three doors on the southwest side and a central door on the northwest side, along with four barred windows on the northeast side. The bakehouse has four round-headed recesses on the northeast side, which contain three 20th-century casements. In the courtyard, there is a lead pump with a timber case, cranked handle, and spout with a brass tap, along with a large octagonal ashlar bowl on a plinth.

The cartsheds on the northeast side feature two casements on the left and six open bays supported by timber posts on the right. The stables, also on the right, consist of seven bays with brick coped walls leading to exercise yards, and openings with elliptical heads. In the return angle, there is a slatted casement flanked by single doors, both with elliptical heads. This listing is included for its group value only.
