Description
Yew Tree Cottage and The Cottage is a house that has been converted into two cottages, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with blue brick chequering and features an ashlar plinth. The building has a slate roof and a single ridge red brick stack. The gables are brick coped with kneelers, and there are dentil eaves along with a first-floor band. The structure is two storeys high with a garret. The central doorway has a plank door, and on either side are single tripartite Yorkshire sash windows. All ground floor openings have flush wedge brick lintels. Above, there is a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window, with a single Yorkshire sash to the right and a single casement to the left, all set under segmental arches.
