Description
The barn at Thrumpton House is an early 19th-century structure built of red brick, with some ashlar elements, and features a plain tile roof. It has brick coped gables with kneelers and stands two storeys tall with six bays. A large basket archway, supported by ashlar hinge blocks, is located on the left side. To the right of this archway are two lozenge-shaped ventilators on each floor. Further right, there is a similarly arched, partially blocked doorway, which now has a smaller arched doorway with double plank doors and ashlar hinge blocks. On the far right, there are two additional similar ventilators on each floor. This barn is included for its group value only, and Thrumpton House itself is not listed.
