Description
College Farmhouse is a late 18th-century brick building with a pantile roof, located on Main Street. It features a partial plinth, cogged eaves, and coped gables, with two gable stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays in an L-plan layout. The windows are plain sashes, with those on the ground floor having original segmental rubbed brick heads. The street-facing front has a central door with moulded jambs and a segmental overlight, flanked by single sashes. On the upper floor, there are three sashes. The rear wing includes two 20th-century casements and a single casement above.
Adjoining the farmhouse is a lower two-storey outbuilding with a gabled pantile roof and dentillated eaves. The return angle features a door with a segmental head and a casement above, along with another casement to the southeast. Outside, there is a 19th-century lead pump with a timber case and fluted spout, along with two plain stone troughs. The property is enclosed by a mid-19th-century brick boundary wall that has flat and gabled coping, along with four chamfered brick piers topped with pyramidal ashlar caps.
