Description
The boundary wall at the Church of St. Wilfrid is a churchyard wall dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of dressed stone and features stepped gabled coping as well as flat coping on the northern side. The wall includes two 20th-century wooden posts and gates, along with two square stone gate piers topped with pyramidal caps. Additionally, there are two 19th-century octagonal cast iron posts with finials, and a pair of wrought iron gates. An inset stone tablet is inscribed with "Franciscus Oldfield et Henricus Killbrick Hugus Ecclesiae Guardiani Hunc diruere Murum et aedificavit Anno Domini 1698 at 1699".
