Description
The churchyard wall around the Chapel of St Wilfred is an early 19th-century structure built for Lord Brougham. It is made of pink sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. The front wall, which ends in a bridge, is located beside a road that runs in a cutting between the hall and the chapel, making it quite high and featuring a pointed-arched right doorway. The wall on the other three sides is lower and has a shaped coping. This wall is listed for its group value with the Chapel of St Wilfred.
