Description

A terrace of three houses built around 1820 in Newark on Trent. The buildings are constructed of brick with stucco detailing and have a pantile roof, featuring two gable stacks and one ridge stack. The windows are glazing bar sashes. Each house has a door with six moulded fielded panels and a geometrical overlight, with all window and door openings topped by lintels bearing keystones. The terrace is three storeys high and originally had a four-window front, although the third window from the left is now blank. Smaller windows are positioned above this, and on the ground floor, an off-centre entrance is marked by a close boarded door. To the left of the entrance are two doors with round-headed scrapers, and two windows. To the right are a single door and a window. Above the entrance is a cast iron plate inscribed “Blyton's Yard.”
