PERLETHORPE CUM BUDBY CHURCH LANE (north side) Lych gate and boundary wall at Church of St. John

Lych gate, 1918. Boundary wall, 1861. Timber and rockfaced ashlar with graduated slate roof. Dwarf boundary wall has gabled intermediate piers and larger cross gabled corner piers. Patterned wrought iron railing with fleur de lys heads. To west, pair of cross gabled gatepiers and pair of matching wrought iron gates. Lych gate has 2 rockfaced piers, each with a bronze memorial tablet. Above, 4 posts carrying principal rafter roof with trussed gable and bargeboards. To south, four centred arched opening with transom with conventional inscription. Pair of moulded timber gates with iron crosses.
