Description

The barn and attached outbuildings at Church Farm date from the early 19th century and are constructed of red brick with pantile roofs. The barn is two storeys high and has three bays, featuring dentil eaves. It has a central doorway with large plank double doors set under a segmental arch. To the left of the barn, there is a single glazing bar fixed light, and to the right, two slit ventilators. Above the main barn doors, there are two slit ventilators on each side, and extending under the eaves are seven small slit ventilators. Attached to the right of the barn is a single-storey, single-bay stable block, which includes a doorway with ashlar hinge and lock blocks and a plank door. Projecting from the left side of the barn is a single-storey, four-bay outbuilding that features a doorway with plank double doors. To the left of this doorway, there is another doorway with a plank door and a small slatted wooden opening with a glazing bar overlight. Further left, there is a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window, and on the far left, a single 20th-century glazing bar casement window. This range of buildings is attached to the house, which is listed as a separate item. The barn and outbuildings are included in the listing for their group value.
