Description

High House is a late 18th-century brick farmhouse with a pantile roof, located on the east side of South End in Collingham. The building has two gable stacks, cogged eaves, and brick coped gables. Its symmetrical facade features three storeys and three windows. The central entrance has a plain doorcase, a panelled door, and a segmental head, flanked by single glazing bar sashes. Above, there are three glazing bar sashes, all with segmental heads. Above again, three single-light horizontally pivoted windows are present. The north gable has a pair of blocked brick ventilators on the first floor. The roof interior retains original oak timbering.
