Description

The Fruit Farm and its 19th-century extension is a cottage dating from the early 18th century and the 19th century. It is constructed from brick and features a steeply pitched pantile roof, with two blue brick coped gables and a combination of a single off-centre ridge stack and a gable stack. The building is two storeys high with garrets and has three windows, along with a single bay extension added to the south in the 19th century.

The south entrance door is off-centre and has a rectangular overlight above it. This door is flanked by a single 20th-century three-light Yorkshire sash window with a segmental head. To the north of the entrance, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door, followed by another 20th-century three-light Yorkshire sash window with a segmental head. On the upper level, there are three 20th-century two-light Yorkshire sash windows and a single fixed light. The north gable features a door leading to the garret.

Inside, there is a brick vaulted cellar located to the south, along with poor quality roof timbering, mud and stud partitions, and a gypsum floor in the garret. The 19th-century extension to the south has brick eaves and a single gable stack. It is also two storeys high and consists of two bays. The off-centre entrance features a 20th-century half-glazed door with a 20th-century gabled timber porch, along with a single two-light Yorkshire sash window with a segmental head. Above this, there is a single Yorkshire sash window with a timber lintel and a single fixed light.
