Description
Ivy Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with a 19th-century extension and porch. It is built of brick and features a pantile roof, dentillated eaves, and terra-cotta coped gables with kneelers, along with two gable stacks and stone dressings. The building has two storeys and three bays.
The central 19th-century brick porch has stone coped gables with kneelers and a blue tile roof. It features a Tudor arched opening that contains a 19th-century close-boarded door, flanked by two 19th-century two-light Yorkshire sash windows with segmental heads. Above the porch, there is a central 20th-century two-light glazing bar casement, flanked by two single two-light Yorkshire sashes.
To the south, there is a 19th-century single bay extension that has a single rear wall stack. This extension is also two storeys high and includes a 19th-century three-light Yorkshire sash window on the first floor.
