Description

The Song School, built in 1866, is a Tudor Revival style building located in Newark on Trent. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof with a single gable and three side wall stacks, one of which is external, all topped with multiple round shafts. The building has a plinth, quoins, a first-floor band, and shouldered coped gables, with finials on the front gables.

The windows are stone cross mullioned casements. The structure is two storeys high and consists of two staggered parallel ranges. The double gabled front includes a 2-light window on the left and a lean-to porch with a segmental pointed arch below it, along with a 3-light window to the right. The projecting right gable has a 3-light window above and a 4-light window below.

On the right side, which faces the churchyard, there are two windows with 2 and 3 lights, an off-centre Tudor arched doorcase with a half-glazed door, and to the left, single cross casements flanking the stack. To the right, there is a 4-light window.
