Description

The Nook is a 17th-century house with significant alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed blue lias rubble and brick, with rendered and colourwashed surfaces, and has a hipped pantile roof. The roofline is punctuated by a single ridge stack and a single wall stack. The two-storey, three-window front features a central moulded timber doorcase, topped with a hood. This is flanked by single 19th-century sash windows. Above, there are three similar sash windows. The interior retains considerable remains of timber framing.
