Description

The Manor House and Conservatory is a mid-18th century building with later additions and alterations from the late 18th century, 19th century, and 20th century. It is constructed of brick and features plain tile and partially hipped pantile roofs, with ashlar and rubble plinths, brick eaves, and brick coped gables. The structure has two storeys with garrets and is arranged in an L-plan.

The main house includes a central 20th century brick porch topped with a hipped plain tile roof, which contains a 20th century panelled door. This porch is flanked by single 19th century flat-roofed bay windows that have glazing bar sashes. Above the porch, there are three glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. The south wing, dating from the late 18th century, has a hipped roof and a single bay, featuring one glazing bar sash on each floor, with the ground floor sash having a segmental head. The west gable has a single glazing bar sash above.

The conservatory, built in the late 19th century by Messenger of Loughborough, has a brick plinth and consists of four bays with an iron and timber frame. The rear south wing, from the 19th century, is made of brick and is rendered above, with plain tile and pantile roofs and a single gable stack. Above this wing, there is one glazing bar sash.

Inside, the house features an early 19th century dog leg staircase with a scrolled handrail leading to the first floor, and above it, there are early 18th century oak balusters and handrail. The roof retains its original oak timbering.
