Description
This boundary wall, gate, steps, and overthrow form part of the Church of St Mary in Edwinstowe. Dating to 1844, the wall is constructed of ashlar with a gabled ashlar coping. Plain wrought iron gates are positioned at each end, leading to ashlar steps. Each gate is topped with an elaborate scrolled overthrow, and includes a lamp bracket. On the right-hand side, an ogee-headed stone panel is inscribed with the date '1844'. The adjoining boundary wall to the left features a ramped, dressed stone half-round coping. The features are included in the listing primarily for their group value alongside the church.
