Description
The monument to a horse, which also serves as a milestone, was built in 1834. It features a square plinth with two steps that supports a square pedestal, which has a stepped base and a moulded top. The south face of the pedestal has an illegible signature. Above this is a Doric column that includes a cove moulded base, a capital, and a ball finial. The south side of the monument has a recess that once held a bronze plate indicating the mileage to London.
