Description
The gatepiers and walls surrounding the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary are likely from the early 19th century and constructed of ashlar stone. On the south side, there are a pair of large square gatepiers that feature chamfered edges, bases, moulded caps, and an iron overthrow. There is also a small vestry gateway with an iron overthrow. The walls are made of deeply-coursed stone and have moulded coping that ramps at changes in level. The wall along the east side consists of two deep ashlar courses and a plinth with coping similar to the rest. These structures are included for their group value.
