Description

Brockilow Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse that was extended in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick, partly rendered, and features gabled and catslide roofs covered with pantiles. The building has a plinth, dentillated eaves, and is adorned with two gable stacks and a single ridge stack. It is two storeys high with garrets and consists of five bays arranged in an L-plan.

The ground floor front windows have segmental heads, and the windows are 20th-century casements. On the south front, there is a single bay addition from the 19th century to the right. To the left of the front, there is a door flanked on the left by a casement and on the right by a blocked opening. Further along, there is another blocked opening flanked by single casements, followed by a casement flanked by single close boarded doors, and then another casement.

Above this, to the left, there is a blocked opening with a segmental head, flanked by single casements, and to their right, a blocked oval opening. To the right again, there are two casements, one of which has a segmental head. The east gable features a 20th-century casement above, and above that, there are two small casements in the garret. An adjoining shed, which is made of brick and has an asbestos cement roof, is not considered of special interest.
