Description
The farm buildings at Lilac Farmhouse consist of a barn, stable, and pigeoncote, dating from 1760 and the 19th century. They are constructed of brick with pantile roofs and feature a partial brick plinth and dentillated eaves. The complex is arranged over one and two storeys and comprises six bays.
The barn, located to the south, has three bays and includes a tumbled south gable dated 1760, along with an altered coped north gable featuring a kneeler. The east side of the barn has an off-centre barn door flanked by two diamond breathers, with six additional diamond breathers above, alongside single pitch holes, one of which is blocked. The south gable displays five diamond breathers, while the west side has a blocked central doorway and two tiers of six diamond breathers.
To the north, the stable has two bays and features two casements flanked by single stable doors, all with segmental heads. Above, there is a pitch hole to the left and a casement to the right, both also with segmental heads. The pigeoncote, situated to the north, is a single bay with two round-headed reduced openings, each fitted with a stable door, and a central slatted opening above.
