Description
The flight of steps and gateway at Fountain Dale House, located 40 metres southeast of the house, dates from the early 19th century. It features a single flight of ashlar steps that lead up to a decorative wrought iron gate. The gate is flanked by similar wrought iron panels on either side. To the left and right of the gate are single ashlar piers, which are set on bases that have inset panels at the front. Each pier is topped with shaped coping and surmounted by single obelisks.
