Description

A terrace of five houses, now four houses and a shop, was built around 1785, with later alterations in the late 19th century and the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with stone and stucco dressings, and has hipped and gabled pantile roofs. There are dentillated eaves and three ridge, two gable, and one rear wall stack. The three-storey facade has a six-window range, with a dummy sash window to the left, flanked by an imitation sash and a cross casement. To the right are two glazing bar sashes, all with multi-keystoned lintels. Further to the right is a glazing bar sash with a segmental head. Above, the fenestration is similar, with smaller windows. On the ground floor, to the left is a pair of altered doors with overlights, flanked by an imitation sash and a cross casement. To the right is a pair of six-panel doors with overlights, flanked by a sash window. Further to the right is a late 19th-century shop window with a plain surround and cornice, and a glazed door with a segmental head. The right side, facing Clinton Street, has two cross casements above, and two small glazing bar sashes, all with segmental heads. Below are a 19th-century shop window with a cornice and a door converted into a window. Beyond this are two glazing bar casements, all with segmental heads.
