Description

This cask store, now disused, was built around 1885 as part of the Castle Brewery. It has a distinctive design featuring round cast iron posts supporting a trussed steel hipped roof, which is clad in timber and zinc. The building is single-storied and arranged in a 4x4 bay layout. A hipped clerestory is located on the roof. The building is listed for its group value within the brewery complex.
