Description

A pair of houses dating from circa 1785, located in Portland Street, Newark on Trent. The houses are constructed of brick and feature a pantile roof, with dentillated eaves and two gable stacks. All windows have segmental heads. The three-storey facade has a three-window range. The main floor features a dummy sash window to the left, a similar sash window in the centre, and an imitation sash window to the right. Above, there are four smaller windows, with a central dummy sash, a single sash to the left, and two sashes to the right. The ground floor has a pair of 20th-century doors with overlights, flanked by a sash window to the left and an imitation sash window to the right.
