Description

No. 80 Haddon Road, which also includes No. 2 Haddon Road, is a pair of houses built around 1860. They are constructed from grey brick with red brick detailing and feature slate roofs with three side wall stacks and two gable stacks, all of which are coped. The buildings have a plinth and string courses.

The windows are primarily round-arched plain sashes with moulded brick polychrome heads. The houses are two storeys high and have a symmetrical front with a central bay that contains two windows. Above this, there is a full-width continuous window with wooden mullions, a valanced top, and a larger central light. A large round-headed hooded dormer is situated above and behind.

The gabled side bays each have two windows with enriched keystones, and above these, there is a blind roundel. Below, there is a square brick bay window with a fretwork valance and a triple round-arched window featuring round shafts, brick pilasters, and stiff-leaf capitals. To the right, there is a set-back entrance bay with a square projecting porch on the left, which has a round-arched doorway, brick pilasters with stiff-leaf capitals, a panelled double door, and a fanlight. Above the porch, there is a single window. Further to the right, there is a shallow shouldered projection with a first-floor window, both of which have enriched keystones.

The left return facing Haddon Road has an off-centre gable with two windows and a round window above. Below, there are two windows to the left and a recessed door to the right.
