Description
Penniment Lodge Farm is a farmhouse with an attached outbuilding, dating from around 1820. The building is constructed of rendered stone with painted ashlar dressings, featuring brick gable stacks and slate roofs. It is two storeys high.
The south entrance front has a central doorway set in a round-headed painted ashlar surround with a keystone. It features a 20th-century glazed door with an original fanlight above. On either side of the doorway are single 12-pane glazing bar sashes, and there are three similar sashes above. The west gable wall has one sash window on each floor. The rear facade includes a small off-centre plank door flanked by single glazing bar sashes, with two similar sashes above to the left.
Attached to the rear of the farmhouse is a single-storey brick outbuilding topped with a pyramidal slate roof and a single brick stack. To the right, there is a brick wall containing six segmental arches, which were used for bee hives.
