Description
This building, located at 39B, 41, 43, and 43A West Gate in Mansfield, dates from around 1800 and has undergone alterations in the mid and late 20th century. It is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof with two gable stacks, two of which are rendered. The building has quoins and plain eaves and is designed in an L-shape. It stands three storeys tall and has a five-window range of 12-pane sash windows with moulded eared architraves. Above this, there are three similar windows. The central entrance features a mid-20th century ashlar doorcase with a glazed door, flanked by single late 20th century shop fronts with fascias, with the right shop front extending along the right return. On the right return, there are three 12-pane sashes on the first floor, each with projecting surrounds.
