Description

A pair of cottages dated to the mid-19th century, located on Albert Street, Mansfield Woodhouse. They are built of coursed squared rubble with stone dressings, and have a concrete tile roof. The cottages are two storeys high and three bays wide. They feature a single gable stack and a single ridge stack. The windows are a mix of 19th-century sash windows and 20th-century casements.

The north front has a sash window to the left, followed by a blocked doorway. To the right is a door with Gothic tracery, flanked by a casement to the left and a sash window to the right. Above are two sash windows and a Yorkshire sash.

The west gable has a central shop window flanked by a blocked opening to the left and a door with a stone lintel to the right. Above are two casements.

The south side has a blocked doorway positioned off-centre, flanked by a Yorkshire sash window to the left and a casement to the right. Above, there is a Yorkshire sash window to the right.

A contemporary outbuilding, single-storey, constructed of brick with a slate roof, adjoins the cottages to the north, and is not of special architectural interest; it is included in the listing only for group value.
