1569-0/7/10016 Footbridge over stream, approx. 100m SE of 28 St Helens Rd.

Footbridge carrying Trent towpath over a side stream. Late C18. Dressed stone. Rectangular opening formed by single stone lintel. Chamfered plinth course. Low dressed stone parapet with rounded coping. The footbridges were built to form a towpath and allow better drainage from the side streams into the river. The towpath along the Trent was completed in this area by 1784.
