Description
This is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from approximately 1700. It is constructed of brick with steep-pitched pantile roofs and ashlar dressings. Bands run across the first and second floors, as well as along the gable ends. The building has a single central ridge stack and two external gable stacks. It is arranged over two storeys plus garrets, with a two-bay front. The layout is in an ‘L’ shape. Most windows are glazing bar sashes. The east front has a gable to the left with a sash window. To the right is a two-storey rear wing with a round-headed glazed door. A single-storey hipped addition sits to the right, featuring a sash window on its front. Above this, a further sash, and above that, to the left, a garret sash. On the south side is a 20th-century casement window, with two sashes above it. The west gable has a lean-to addition with a coped end and a 20th-century casement window.
The adjoining stable, of single and two storeys and also in an ‘L’ shape, has a gable to its left with a round-headed window, and a casement above. To the right is a garage opening and door, above which are two small casement windows. The east side features a garage door, with a door flanked by single windows to the right.
