Description

No. 8 Church Street is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, constructed from rendered brick with a steeply pitched pantiled roof. The building features dentillated eaves and has two brick coped tumbled gables, along with one gable and one ridge stack. It is two storeys high and has an L-shaped plan. The south front includes a central plain sash window, flanked by two single plain sashes, with two additional plain sashes above. There is a 20th-century lean-to extension on the left, made of brick and pebbledash, with a concrete tile roof, which contains a single casement window and a half-glazed door. The east front features an off-centre 20th-century half-glazed door with a segmental head, alongside a three-light metal casement window to the right. Above, there is a single three-light casement window to the left and two two-light casements to the right.
