No. 2 Newgate Street is an 18th-century cottage that has been converted into a shop. The building is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. On the left side, there is an eight-panelled door set in plain jambs, and to the right, there is a 19th-century shop window. Above the shop window, there are three glazing bar sash windows.
