Description

Brook House Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse, possibly built earlier. It features a rendered exterior over dressed coursed rubble and brick, topped with a slate roof that has a single right gable and two ridge stacks made of dressed coursed rubble. The building is set on a chamfered plinth and consists of two storeys with six bays.

The main entrance has a rendered porch and an inner door with six fielded panels, of which the top two are now glazed. To the right of the doorway, there are three low glazing bar sash windows, while to the left, there are two glazing bar sashes with six similar sashes located above. All the sash windows have painted splayed lintels.

Projecting from the left side of the farmhouse is a lower two-storey wing made of rendered dressed coursed rubble and pantiles, which has two brick gable stacks and no openings. At the rear, there are two additional two-storey wings, with the left wing being partially constructed of brick.
