Description

Alton Lodge is a late 18th-century farmhouse. It is built of coursed rubble with brick dressings and has a machine tile roof, with external gable end stacks. The building is two storeys high and features a dentilled brick cornice. There are three windows on the front elevation; the windows are boxed glazing bar sashes with plastered wedge lintels. A boxed glazing bar sash window is located to the left of the facade, while a canted bay window appears to the right. The central entrance is distinguished by a fanlight set within a brick dressed semi-circular arch, and it has a half-glazed door.
