Description
The Jug and Glass Inn is a late 18th-century inn that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from dressed coursed rubble and features a concrete pantile roof with a single gable and a single ridge rendered stack. The building is one storey plus an attic and has four bays.
The entrance includes a wood and glazed door set within a stone surround, supported by two brackets that hold a flat hood. To the left of the doorway, there is a single tripartite glazing bar casement with wooden transom and mullions, topped with a painted lintel. To the right, you will find a single tripartite glazing bar Yorkshire sash window under a segmental arch, followed by another single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window under a segmental arch.
Above the main façade, there is a gabled dormer that breaks the eaves, featuring a single tripartite glazing bar Yorkshire sash window. Further to the right, there is another single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window. Additionally, there is a lower extension made of dressed coursed rubble with a concrete pantile roof, which has a single right gable rendered stack and ashlar quoins. At the rear of the building, there are brick extensions.
