Description
Langwith House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with later alterations and extensions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of dressed coursed rubble and features a pantile roof that is hipped to the left. The house has a single red brick stack on the right gable and was originally designed in an L-plan.
The building has two storeys plus a garret and consists of three bays. The central doorway features a 20th-century glazed door. To the right of the doorway is a single casement window, while to the left is a small fixed light. Above the doorway, there is a single glazing bar casement window with a lintel, and to the right of this is a small sash window. Set back to the left is a single-storey, single-bay wing made of dressed coursed rubble, which has a stone-coped parapet and a small fixed light. The rear wing includes a single red brick stack on the right gable. The openings on the house were added in the later 19th century.
