Description
Nos 6 to 10 on Churchgate are late 18th century buildings. They are two storeys tall, constructed from painted brick, and feature a pantile roof with a wooden eaves cornice. The facade has four windows, with the three on the left being hung sashes that include glazing bars. The ground floor has three shop fronts that are flanked by pilasters and have later glazing. There are remnants of a brick band that runs between the storeys.
These buildings, along with Nos 2 to 18 (even), including Nos 4A and 14A, form a group with the Parish Church of St Swithun. Nos 12, 14, 14A, 16, and 18 are noted for their local interest.
