Description
The Gatehouse Lodges and gatepiers are a pair of early 19th-century lodges located opposite Drakeholes Farm. They are constructed from rendered brick and feature pyramidal slate roofs with a single side wall stack. The lodges have stone dressings and deep moulded eaves. The openings are flanked by pilasters, with matching corner pilasters. Each lodge has a square plan, is one storey high, and consists of one bay. The street front includes a single central glazing bar sash window, while the gateway front has a central six-panelled door with a rectangular overlight. The east front features a three-bay round-arched arcade supported by rendered square piers on stone plinths, topped with a moulded ashlar pediment. Additionally, there are four round stone gatepiers outside, which have incised decoration and gadrooned caps.
