Description

Prospect Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century and mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and brick, with some areas rendered, and features slate roofs. The building has rebated eaves and four gable stacks, standing two storeys plus garrets high and consisting of three bays in an L-plan layout.

The south front includes a central 19th-century gabled porch with a segmental headed doorway, flanked by single sash windows. To the right, there is a hipped single-storey addition with a casement window. An adjoining curved yard wall, measuring 5 meters long, features ramped slab coping.

On the west side, there is a 20th-century French window to the left, and to the right, a lean-to addition in the return angle. Further right, there is a gable with a 20th-century casement, and above, to the left, a triple sash window, with a garret casement to the right.

The east side has a projecting gable to the left and a two-storey gabled east wing to the right. The central bay features a flush mullioned casement, while the return angle to the left contains a casement and a door. The return angle to the right has a door and a casement. To the right, there is a coped yard wall with two hatches facing east, and above it, an off-centre mullioned casement. The left gable has two garret casements, while the right gable features a 20th-century casement.
