Description
Rothwell Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse, later modified in the 19th century, constructed of painted brick with a slate roof and gable stacks. The building is three storeys high and features a three-bay front with bands at the first and second floors and modillion eaves. The central doorway is flanked by pilasters and has a deep-set rectangular overlight above a panelled door. On either side of the doorway are single square tripartite bay windows, each containing a plain sash window flanked by narrow fixed lights. Above the door, there is a narrow plain sash window, with later 19th-century tripartite windows on either side, each featuring a plain sash flanked by narrow fixed lights. Smaller similar windows are located on the floor above, flanking a small single plain sash window.
