Description

TF 19 NE ROTHWELL THORESWAY ROAD (east side)

4/16 Rothwell Farmhouse (formerly listed as Rothwell 1.11.66. II House)

Farmhouse early C19, later C19 painted brick with slate roof and gable stacks. 3 storey, 3 bay front with first floor and second floor bands and modillion eaves. Central doorway flanked by pilasters with deep set rectangular overlight and panelled door. Doorway flanked by single, square tripartite bay windows, each with a plain sash flanked by narrow fixed lights. Above the door is a narrow plain sash flanked by later C19 tripartite windows each side with a plain sash flanked by narrow fixed lights. Similar smaller windows flank a small, single plain sash on the floor above.
