Description
The Old Rectory is a house that was originally built as a rectory in the early 19th century, with some alterations in the 20th century. It features a brown brick exterior and a hipped slate roof, which has two ridge stacks and an additional stack at the rear. The building is two stories tall and has a three-bay front, with the outer bays slightly projecting and a painted band at the first floor level.
The central doorway is set in a deep recess and includes a rectangular overlight with traceried vertical bars, a panelled door, and long narrow flanking lights. There is a 20th-century glass porch that has glazing bars and double doors that align with the outer bays. The porch is flanked by single long glazing bar sash windows, with three smaller glazing bar sash windows positioned above.
