Description
The signal box at Stow Park Station is a late 19th-century structure built of yellow brick with ashlar dressings and some wooden elements. It features slate roofs adorned with tall wooden finials and large cusped wooden eaves. The building has two storeys, with the upper storey jettied out over the lower, and is highlighted by a broad decorative band on the first floor. There are three glazing bar sash windows with splayed ashlar lintels, and the upper storey is primarily glass with glazing bars. On the north side, there is a plain doorway with a plank door, which is situated beneath a wooden railed staircase leading up to a wooden platform that has a partially glazed door. To the left of the platform, there is a small timber privy with a plank door. This signal box is included in the listing for its group value.
