Description

Stow Park Station is a railway station built around 1850. It is constructed of yellow brick with ashlar dressings and features plain tile roofs adorned with decorative ridge tiles, stone coped gables, two tall stacks at the rear, and a single tall lateral stack. A large wooden slatted and gabled ventilator is positioned on the ridge to the left. The building is two storeys high with five bays, including two single storey bays to the left.

To the right, there is a doorway with an ashlar Caernarvon head and a partially glazed door. Adjacent to this is a window in a single slightly projecting bay with a gable, featuring three narrow plain sashes beneath a single segmental head. To the left of the doorway is another window with two plain sashes under a single segmental head, followed by another doorway with an ashlar Caernarvon head and a partially glazed door. Beyond this doorway, there is a window to the left with two narrow casements under a single flat head. Above, there are two windows, each with two narrow plain sashes beneath a single segmental head. A coped gable is located above the window to the left, and there is a star-shaped opening in the gable above the window to the right.

Inside, the station retains most of its original railway fittings, including an office screen and ticket window, original fireplaces and doors, the booking hall stove, dado panelling, and a kitchen featuring a cooking range inscribed with "GWR."
