Description
No 51 Lord Street, which includes No 1 Church Street, has origins dating back to the 18th century with later features added. The building is two storeys high, constructed of brick with a hipped pantile roof at the corner. It features a brick eaves cornice and has four windows that do not have glazing bars, with painted brick voussoirs and wooden cases. The Church Street side has one dormer and three segmental-arched windows. There is a late 19th-century shop front with plain pilasters. This building is part of a group that includes The White Hart Hotel and is noted for its architectural significance.
