Description
The White Swan Inn is a public house dating from the late 18th century, with some minor alterations from the 20th century. It features a painted brick exterior and a hipped roof covered with concrete tiles, supported by two brick wall stacks. The building has a two-storey, three-bay front, which includes a first-floor band and a recessed semi-circular headed niche.
The central entrance consists of a 20th-century door with a traceried fanlight, framed by a wooden surround with Doric pilasters and an open dentillated pediment. This entrance is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. Above the door, there is a semi-circular headed fixed light with 20th-century glazing, also flanked by single sashes that rest on the first-floor band. All the windows feature brick segmental heads. To the left of the main building, there is a single-storey 20th-century extension with a ramped wall.
