Description

This gravestone, located two paces east of the south porch of the Church of St John the Baptist, dates from 1752. It is made of ashlar and features a headstone with a ramped top, which is adorned with a winged cherub and flanked by paterae. The gravestone commemorates Willm Sander, who died in 1752, and includes the inscription: "remember man as you pass by, As you are now so once was I, As I am now so must you be, Therefore prepair to follow me." It is listed for its group value only.
