Description

Stainton Hall Farm Office and the attached cottage, dating from around 1830, are two cottages that have been converted into a cottage and a farm office. The buildings are constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with red brick dressings and feature pantile roofs with decorative brick eaves. There are two ridge stacks, one gable stack, and one lateral stack.

The cottage, which is two storeys high and has three bays, is to the right and is divided by a projecting single storey extension that has its own ridge stack. The cottage has a central doorway with a segmental head and a partially glazed 20th-century door. This doorway is flanked by two sliding sash windows with segmental heads, and there are three additional sliding sash windows above. All openings are dressed in red brick. Above the single storey extension, there is a sliding sash window.

The farm office, located to the left, has an off-centre doorway with a plank door. To the left of this doorway are two sliding sash windows, and to the right, there is one sliding sash window, all with segmental heads. Above the windows on the left, there are two additional sliding sash windows. This listing is included for its group value only.
