Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early 18th century, with later additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with some red brick, and features steeply pitched slate roofs with gable stacks and a single ridge stack, all topped with brick coping. The building has two storeys and a garret, presenting a four-bay front. The off-centre doorway has a round-headed moulded doorcase with a raised keystone, flanking pilasters, a plain fanlight, and a six-panelled door. This doorway is flanked by long square bay windows that have modillion decoration and double French doors. To the left, there is a 20th-century casement window with a red brick segmental head above the original opening. Above, there are four 20th-century casements, all featuring red brick lintels. The rear of the farmhouse includes 19th-century brick and ironstone extensions.
